Tarot

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each card having it's own meaning. The cards are layed out in "spreads" by the reader. Each position in a spread also has a specific meaning. There are many different types of spreads that can be done, using from 1 card to all 78 cards in the deck.  The 78 cards are broken down into what is called the "Major Arcana" and the "Minor Arcana".

The 22 cards of the Major Arcana represent the stages of a journey which every soul travels in the circle of life, usually numerous times over. Everything we do in this lifetime has a beginning, middle and end. It also can be a comfort that once we realize that we all travel hese same pathways at one time or another. The Major Arcana portrays rites of passage, not end results. Every pathway will always lead to the next one.

The 56 cards of the Minor Arcana are broken down into 4 suits, representing the 4 realms of life, or facets of the overall journey. The suits are Cups, Wands, Swords, and Pentatcles. Each suit contains 2 groups, 10 numbered cards from Ace to Ten and 4 Court Cards, being the King, Queen, Knight and Page. The numbered cards represent events happening in the outer world, while the court cards represent human figures, personality traits, or even actual people in one's own life.

Runes

The art of Runes consists of casting 25 stones into a "spread", 24 stones etched or marked with a symbol and one blank stone.  Some believe the Runes symbols are an ancient alphabet, which never became a spoken language, what is not in debate is that the alphabet has taken on many forms over the millenia. The most common alphabet used today is known as the 'Elder Futhark".

As in the Tarot, there are many different spreads, which each place in the spread having it's own meaning. The Runes can either be cast onto a cloth, or simply picked from a bag and placed into their spread by positon number. The 24 Runes symbols are broken down into 8 groups of three, called "Aetts". The Aetts represent the three streams of mind which can come ino play on our soul's journey, know as the "Earth Aett", the "Warrior Aett", the " Heaven Aett".

Pendulum

The use of a Pendulum, also known as "dowsing", is a simple way to receive a "yes" or "no" answer. You set your Pendulum to spin in one direction for the answer "yes" and another direction for the answer "no". The divine, answering through your subconscious, will cause involuntary muscle action which will spin the Pendulum in the correct direction for your answer. The uses are endless. In the beginning it may be wise to make sure your will is not imposed upon the Pendulum. You can write out questions on paper, fold them up, then hold the Pendulum over each paper for your answer. After you have gained experience and confidence in using the Pendulum, this should no longer be necessary.
